Biography

His passion is turning new ideas into working software.
As a lifelong technologist and gadget freak with over 10 years of experience delivering web and mobile software, he is an expert at developing innovative software with constrained resources.

He has architected and delivered a broad range of solutions, including iPhone/iPad apps, Twitter services, web APIs, Facebook games, websites and SMS applications.

While he enjoys getting his hands dirty writing code, he is at his best pulling together his entire skill set in an Architect/CTO/Project Manager role, for example:

*Tuning product/market strategy
* Architecting the solution, especially for mobile apps and web services
* Building the right team to develop the application
* Implementing Agile and Lean techniques to iterate quickly to product/market fit
* Project and distributed team management
* Keeping my coding skills fresh (usually server-side, in Ruby)
* Coaching new entrepreneurs in Customer Development and Lean Startup techniques

His latest publication is “Gamification by design” with Gabe Zichermann (O’Reilly).
