Florence is one of the most desirable destination for turist in the world.
The city lies on the River Arno and is known for its history and its importance in the Middle Ages and in the Renaissance, especially for its art and architecture. A centre of medieval European trade and finance and one of the wealthiest cities of the time, Florence is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance, because of this it is often known as the “Jewel of the Renaissance“.

.: Workshop will be on day 1, June 20th, Conference will be on day 2, June 21st. We suggest you to stay some days more to enjoy the wonderful city.

How to get there

.: From Italy you can take the train buying your ticket on the website or at the railway station. The train will arrive in Santa Maria Novella Station     that is in the center of Florence. From there you can take a taxi or public transportation to reach your hotel and the conference’s venue.
If you book a sit on frecciarossa AV train, your journey will be much shorter than other trains: 1 hour 45 min from Milan, 1 hour 35 min from Rome.

.: From Europe or Overseas you should book a flight to Firenze Peretola (or Firenze Amerigo Vespucci), the airport of Florence.
From the airport you can reach the city center by taxi or shuttle. There is a shuttle service every 30 min.

    Venue: Otel Varietè

    Otel Varietè is an unusual and original location, surrounded by countryside near Florence. An eclectic space with an high level of visual and acoustic qualities, ideal for artistic performances that characterize also this edition of Frontiers.

    All rooms are organized to allow presentations, specifically, the main hall called “Theatre” that includes a great video solution that can manages three different images or a single panoramic image covering an area of about 80 square meters.

    It extends on a 3.500mq area, including dining rooms, terrace and garden. Secure underground parking.

    HOW TO GET THERE: The Otel Varieté is located just 15min from the centre of Florence, accessible from the A1 Firenze Sud and easily with public transportation.

    What to do after event

    Florence is full of interesting attractions and museum, here a short list with some suggestions:

    .: Galleria degli Uffizi one of the oldest and most famous art museums of the Western world. Here you can see paintings by Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Giotto, Botticelli, Caravaggio and many others.
    .: Palazzo Pitti is a vast mainly Renaissance palace in Florence

    .: Boboli Gardens is famous park in Florence, Italy, that is home to a distinguished collection of sculptures dating from the 16th through the 18th centuries, with some wonderful Roman antiquities.
