Biography
Thomas is a Creative Director in frog’s Milan studio, where he guides client and frog teams designing inspiring, meaningful solutions to real-world problems. His professional expertise spans research, strategy, design, and engineering, with a special focus on the healthcare sector.
Before taking on his current role, Thomas lead the Milan studio as General Manager through over 5 years of sustained growth of the business, team, and capabilities.
Previously, he established and managed the European industrial design team at Flextronics, where he gained extensive first-hand experience of concurrent engineering and global manufacturing processes. He was a key member of the management team that established the medical industry vertical in Flextronics Design.
Prior to that he worked at Design Continuum in Milan, and the National Museum of New Zealand.
Thomas graduated in Industrial Design at Victoria University of Wellington in 1995, and also studied mechanical engineering and materials science at the Open University, UK. His work has contributed to many international patents and has been recognized with design awards including red dot, IDEA, and Japan Good Design.
